Although fibromyalgia cannot be cured, CBD oil can help make the pain and discomforts more bearable, less frequent and not as noticeable.
Benefits of CBD Oil
As mentioned earlier, much success has been received because of CBD oil for those that have fibromyalgia. Pain has become bearable, and sometimes, this medicinal oil can even help get rid of fatigue, which is often a symptom of fibromyalgia. Patients with fibromyalgia can either apply the CBD as a cream or gel all over the body or on the affected areas topically, or the ingredient can likewise be absorbed orally as a tincture or oil.
There have been numerous success stories from those with fibromyalgia who have tried using CBD, so we’ve included some of our favorite accounts of success so that you can observe just how mind-blowing the effects have been…
“I have dealt with debilitating fibromyalgia for the past 10 years. My bones and muscles ache, especially in my lower back, neck and elbows. I tried taking pharmaceutical pain killers for years, and although they did help, I felt like I was going through life as a medicated zombie. A friend of mine recommended I try CBD oil, so I gave it a shot. The results were honestly miraculous for me. I apply the CBD gel on my body topically, and also ingest some of the tincture orally to help with my fatigue. If it wasn’t for CBD, I don’t know how I would keep going through life with a positive headspace. This miracle oil has literally given me back my motivation and creativity.”– Victoria Keller, Illinois
“My fibromyalgia predominantly affects my energy levels, and some days I find it difficult to have the strength to even get out of bed. Once I began orally consuming small doses of CBD tincture, I was able to be productive 5-6 days a week, instead of just 2-3 days. The difference for me has been somewhat of a miracle. Every day I want to thank nature for producing such a powerful solution to my condition.”–James Williams, Michigan
These two accounts are only a couple of many personal stories describing how CBD products have assisted a fibromyalgia patient in need. It is clear that this miracle substance is not only helping now, but will continue to assist as the years go by and people continue to learn about its remarkable powers for healing and relief.
The reach of CBD oil has also extended further past individual recognition, being noticed by the media as well. One CBD producing company in specific, known as Elixinol, has been featured by global media outlets such as, CNN, Men’s Health and even The Wall Street Journal.
Medical Research and CBD Oil
Many studies have been conducted regarding CBD oil and its effectiveness for medical conditions, including those that are like fibromyalgia, and here is what some of these reportings have to offer:
In one study conducted by Fiz et al. and published in 2011, 28 patients with fibromyalgia were given various doses of cannabis, a plant that contains amounts of CBD within it, and then were tested for pain levels. After just a couple of hours of cannabis use, many of the test subjects reported a decrease in pain using VAS scoring for analysis, and within the conclusion of the study, the scientists working on this case deemed the results as, “the use of cannabis was associated with beneficial effects on some FM symptoms” (Fiz et al. 2011).
During another study conducted by Russo EB and published in 2008, after a series of tests regarding cannabinoids effectiveness at assisting conditions such as migraines and fibromyalgia, what was concluded is that, “Migraine, fibromyalgia, IBS and related conditions display common clinical, biochemical and pathophysiological patterns… that may be suitably treated with cannabinoid medicines” (Russo 2008).
Although these two examples only represent a small fraction of cases that prove CBD’s effectiveness, plenty of other cases of success, both scientific and personal, do exist and greater strength the case of CBD’s benefits. Even with so much positive feedback, further experiments do need to be conducted so the world can learn and understand more about this natural substance.
